Statewide Symposium
Arizona NASA Space Grant Consortium Annual Statewide Symposium
Each year, the Arizona NASA Space Grant Consortium proudly hosts its Annual Statewide Symposium, a dynamic, all-day event that showcases the research and achievements of students from across Arizona. With a legacy spanning more than three decades, this symposium is a cornerstone of our mission to inspire and support the next generation of scientists, engineers, and explorers.
The symposium brings together students and faculty from:
- The University of Arizona
- Arizona State University
- Northern Arizona University
- Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University
- Community College Affiliates across the state
This event features over 160 presenters, sharing their work on a wide range of topics—from aerospace engineering and planetary science to environmental studies and robotics. For many, this marks their first experience presenting at a professional conference, making it a pivotal moment in their academic journey.
The 2025 Statewide Symposium featured a compelling keynote address by Carlos Garcia Galán, NASA Deputy Program Director for the Gateway Program. The event also included a series of concurrent research presentations held at the SkySong Campus, alongside a dynamic Poster Session with presenters from the statewide ASCEND High-Altitude Ballooning teams. Attendees had the unique opportunity to engage with representatives from NASA’s Gateway mission and Northrop Grumman, who were present throughout the symposium.
The success of this event is a testament to the spirit of inquiry and dedication of our students and their mentors. It reflects the collaborative efforts of faculty, program managers, steering committee members, and Space Grant representatives who work tirelessly to support student research and professional development.
This symposium is made possible through a NASA grant awarded to the Arizona Space Grant Consortium, with generous support from our partner universities and community colleges throughout Arizona.
