Years active: 1
Years: 2013-2014
For the 2013-2014 academic year, I will be a third year Mechanical Engineering student in the School for Engineering of Matter, Transport and Energy and Barrett, the Honors College with a cumulative GPA of 4.0 and expected graduation in May 2015. I am a Flinn Scholar as well as a National Merit Scholar. In spring 2013, I was funded through the Flinn Scholarship to study abroad at the National University of Singapore in the Department of Mechanical Engineering and the University Scholars Programme.
I have plethora of experience in academia, student organizations, and industry that have provided extensive skills development. I have been awarded the Fulton Undergraduate Research Initiative funding for three consecutive semesters from Spring to Fall 2012, developing the proprioception system for an anthropomorphic robotic hand in the Biomechatronics Lab. I work with the Air Devils Design Build Fly team as Vice President and Structures Lead, as well as the Society of Automotive Engineers Supermileage team as Associate Engineer. I have also held internship positions with Engineering Science Analysis Corporation and the NASA Dryden Flight Research Center.
From these experiences, I have become advanced in computer aided design, hardware/software interfaces, MATLAB, C/C++, statics/dynamics in robotic mechanisms, machining, soldering, microcontroller implementation and programming, printed circuit board design, photo processing, and general shop and hardware experience. I also have had exposure and a working knowledge of Linux, LabVIEW, WEKA, and the Adobe Creative Suite. Finally, my many years of experience on teams and individual projects have given me great interpersonal skills as well as an internal drive to produce the best work possible.
